Kelsey is passionate about supporting children, teens, and adults in the North Texas area. She combines her knowledge and training to provide a warm, genuine, non-judgmental environment for everyone who enters her office. Kelsey values creating a safe space where clients can experience acceptance and support. She believes healing and growth are possible for all children, families, and individuals regardless of their struggle. Family involvement and support is very important in her work and she encourages parents to be an active part of the process. She believes in talking with many people involved in a client's life, such as psychiatrists, teachers, or coaches in order to best support her clients. Kelsey knows no two individuals are the same and tailors treatment plans and parent consults specific for each client that walks through her door.

Kelsey believes all children and teens are capable of excelling in their home and school lives. She specializes in play therapy for clients ages 3+, where children use their natural form of play to work through problems and express feelings. She engages teens in activity therapy, expressive arts, talk therapy, and sand tray therapy, which all allow teens to better explore their feelings, build self-esteem, and identify positive coping skills. She also specializes in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), a treatment modality that helps clients of all ages address emotionally charged events and trauma in their lives. Kelsey utilizes her dogs, Bowser and Noodle, in sessions where clients may benefit from animal assisted therapy

Kelsey began her journey in the mental health field upon graduating from Austin College. She has worked in a variety of clinical settings, including psychiatric hospitals, inpatient and outpatient psychiatric programs, eating disorder hospitals and programs, private practice, and a non-profit agency that provided mental health services to the LGBTQ+ community. Kelsey learned valuable de-escalation techniques in her time in the psychiatric settings, as well as how to support clients of all ages in crisis situations. She has extensive experience working with families and children suffering from eating disorders in an inpatient pediatric setting.

When Kelsey is not working, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. Kelsey was an athlete and soccer player growing up and played collegiate soccer all four years in her time at Austin College. Kelsey also teaches fitness classes at a local fitness studio. She is a huge Harry Potter nerd, enjoys reading and spending time outside, and going to the dog park with her puppies, Bowser and Noodle.
