Renae understands that the human experience is complex and can be overwhelming, regardless of what phase in life we are in. She believes everyone deserves a safe space to be listened to and understood. Renae works collaboratively with adults, adolescence, and children in the DFW area to express themselves and work through life’s challenges.

Her approach is client centered, holistic, and strength focused to ensure she is respecting each unique client and welcomes them to explore themselves in a different way. Renae believes providing a patient and narrative approach to her clients allows them to express their life experiences in their own way and at their own time. Renae understands some of us find it difficult to be completely expressive during a typical session. For those clients, Renae walks them through art therapy modalities to explore life’s hardships with curiosity and compassion.

After graduating with her bachelor’s in psychology at the University of Oklahoma, Renae dived into behavioral therapy for children with Autism in the DFW area. She quickly realized she wanted to do more for her community and obtained her masters in social work at the University of Texas at Arlington. During this time, Renae provided counseling services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in North Texas. Renae’s love of learning transitioned her into current role as a school social worker, where she provides counseling to children and teens.

Outside of work, Renae enjoys playing volleyball, practicing guitar, painting, and cooking. Her favorite weekend plans are to watch live music, check out local shops, and annoy her cat with affection.
