Shannon is driven to help teens, adults, and couples develop strategies and tools that improve their lives. She strives to create a non-judgmental, genuine, and safe place for everyone to feel seen and heard. Shannon believes in a holistic approach that includes family, physicians, psychiatrists, and other supports to wrap around a client’s care. She believes that each individual, couple, and family is unique and works with them to develop an individualized treatment plan.

Shannon believes all individuals, couples, and families have the skills to excel in their home, relationships, and goals. She specializes in adolescent therapy, by engaging teens in activities, expressive arts, yoga, and talk therapy. She encourages couples and teaches skills to eliminate patterns of blaming, develop healthy communication skills, and find joy in their relationships again.

Shannon began in the mental health field during her undergraduate program at Texas Tech University, where she earned her degree in human development and family studies. She graduated with her Master of Science in Counseling from Southern Methodist University. She has worked in community clinics, eating disorder hospitals, and multiple non-profit settings. Shannon has worked in agencies focused on the LGBTQ+ community and youth aging out of the Texas foster
care system. Shannon became skilled in de-escalation, trauma-informed care, and motivational interviewing. She has experience working with a diverse population of individuals, couples, and family. Shannon is grateful for the opportunity to support clients as they begin the journey to healing.

Outside of the office, Shannon enjoys reading, yoga, and traveling. Shannon enjoys being involved in the local community through volunteer and service opportunities. She and her husband enjoy spending time with their pets, Landry and Kylo.
