Hello! I'm glad you're here. It's an honor to be a part of someone's growth process. I aim to provide a warm, genuine, non-judgmental environment in sessions. I value creating a safe space where clients can experience acceptance and support as they navigate stress and concerns. I believe healing and growth are possible for everyone regardless of their struggle, and that therapy is a collaborative process between a therapist and a client.
I work with clients of all ages, from as young as three through late adulthood. I find that most clients and parents are insightful and aware of what is causing distress and concern, but there may be a barrier in integrating this knowledge with the body and nervous system. When clients are able to hold space for insight, emotion, and connect to their bodies, that is when healing happens.
I use attachment-based interventions, Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, psycho-education, and/or play therapy to decrease symptoms and improve life satisfaction. My hope is to provide education, connection, and understanding to empower clients to take control of their life and re-connect to their body in order to experience embodiment and joy. My co-therapists, Bowser and Noodle, are always a bright spot for clients when sitting with hard feelings.
When I am not working, I enjoy traveling, working out, spending time outside, spending time with my loved ones (including my dogs), reading, and attending one of my many book clubs. As an ex-collegiate soccer athlete, I always make time to move and sweat each day. I am passionate about Harry Potter, dogs, fiction books, and all things mental health!
I wrote and published a children's book in December of 2023 about my sweet therapy pup, Stabler, who died unexpectedly. I wanted to honor his memory by allowing him to continue his "work" of helping people, with the hope of providing a resource for parents and children to talk about grief and loss.
